Arsenal are back in Premier League action against Newcastle United at the Emirates stadium on Monday night as Unai Emery looks to strengthen his team’s place in the top four.
The Gunners are fifth in the table and firmly in the race for the Premier League top four as well as are through to the Europa League quarter-finals where they’ll face Napoli. Emery will hope his team continues the good run of form of late by beating Newcastle.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are 13th in the table and need just a couple of wins to secure their top-flight status.
Aaron Ramsey pulled out of the Wales squad with injury but should be fit in time to face the Magpies. Nacho Monreal could also regain full fitness ahead of the game.
Lucas Torreira will continue serving his three-game ban for picking a straight red card in the north London derby earlier this month.
Leno has made the no.1 position his own and should continue to be in goal for the Gunners.
A rock at the back, Sokratis has undoubtedly been Arsenal’s best defender this season.
Koscielny is a real leader and an excellent organiser of the backline. The veteran Frenchman will retain his place in the team.
Completing the back three should be Monreal, who will look to help Arsenal keep a clean-sheet.
Maitland-Niles was superb in the last two games and should get his chance at right-back against Newcastle.
At left wing-back, Kolasinac is a different beast to handle as the Bosnian enjoys the freedom to get forward and create chances for the forwards.
Xhaka has had some really good games lately and he’ll look to continue in the same manner.
Ramsey’s energy and work-rate remain unmatched, making the Gunners tick all over the pitch. He should keep his place besides Xhaka in central midfield.
Ozil is one of Europe’s best creative midfielders, although he hasn’t enjoyed a great season at the Emirates according to his standards. He’ll look to put in a solid performance to guide Arsenal past Newcastle on Monday.
The Gabonese has scored three goals in the last two games which certainly would have been of massive help going into this game.
