The world No. 61 Benjamin Bonzi takes on the fourth seed Holger Rune in the round of 16 in Metz 2022.

The Danish star put in some strong performances in the first half of the season but has lacked consistency as of late. He won his first ATP title at the BMW Open in May. Prior to this triumph, he had also won a Challenger event in Sanremo.
The 19-year-old made it to the third round at the US Open, where he lost to Cameron Norrie in straight sets. After receiving a first-round bye, the world No. 31 will be hopeful of turning the fortunes in his favor as he takes on Benjamin Bonzi.

The 26-year-old won a couple of Challenger events this year. Bonzi reached the semifinals at the Open 13 and the Mallorca Open.
The Frenchman came into this tournament on the back of a second-round exit in Flushing Meadows. He was defeated by Nick Kyrgios in four sets. Bonzi began his campaign in Metz against fellow countryman Ugo Humbert. The former defeated the 24-year-old in three sets to progress to the round of 16.
