Taylor Fritz

The 25-year-old has been in sensational form this season. He was one of the star performers for Team USA which won the inaugural United Cup and went on to reach the semifinals of the Dallas Open. However, his best result came in the Delray Beach Open, earlier this month.

Fritz defeated the likes of Emilio Gomez, Adrian Mannarino, Mackenzie McDonald, and Miomir Kecmanovic to win his 5th ATP title. He lost just one set throughout the tournament. The world No. 5 is one of the strong contenders to win the tournament.

John Isner

The experienced campaigner is also coming into the tournament on the back of a decent campaign in the last tournament he played, the Dallas Open. Isner went on to reach the final where he lost to Wu Yibing in a three-set thriller where he smashed 44 aces.

Isner’s serves will have to be dealt with by Fritz. The 37-year-old tends to pick up a lot of points on the serve and he will be quietly confident going into the match against an opponent he has beaten a few times in the past.

Head-to-Head and Prediction

The head-to-head scoreline intriguingly stands at 3-2 in favor of John Isner. He defeated Fritz in their most recent meeting in the 2021 Atlanta Open semifinals 7-6, 5-7, 6-3.

Prediction: Taylor Fritz to win in straight sets.
