Former UFC star Michael Bisping was promoting his new book and answered several questions regarding Conor McGregor
Ariel Helwani asked former UFC star Michael Bisping a ton of questions ahead of the fighters new book “Quitters Never Win”.
The UFC legend highlighted some of the bits from the book, which Helwani praised, and was then asked about UFC 246.
The talk of the town was about how Conor McGregor seemed to be more humble. Helwani asked if this was a new McGregor, with all the parts of meeting Donald Cerrone’s grandmother, but Bisping was just smiling away.
He had already answered a couple of questions regarding McGregor and skirted this issue well:
“I’m smiling because I’m here to promote my book. To talk about my podcast, maybe to do all that.”
Bisping also claimed that everyone was talking about McGregor and that Helwani could get his manager or agent to do all that.
However, the former UFC star did name who McGregor would fight next and suggested it wouldn’t be Khabib Nurmagomedov:
“I’ll tell you what happens. I’ll guarantee he fights Nate Diaz next.
“Khabib isn’t going to fight any time soon. Khabib’s gonna fight Tony Ferguson in April and then its Ramadan.
“If he beats Tony, he’s not going to fight any time soon and Conor already teased Diaz, so that’s good business for everybody involved. Fans want to see it, everybody makes money, there you go.”
Khabib vs Conor would be huge
The first clash between Khabib and McGregor was possibly the biggest UFC PPV in history.
It was the Russian who came out on top and he will be in action at UFC 249. Nurmagomedov is still unbeaten in his UFC career, and another fight with McGregor would certainly be interesting.
The Irishman claimed he was ready to face anyone at any time and was more than willing to fight in a couple of months too.
