WWE recently released several superstars from the company just before the Survivor Series due to budget cuts, as confirmed by John Laurinaitis.
The company released John Morrison, Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, Isaiah Swerve Scott, Tegan Nox, Drake Maverick, Shane Thorne, and Jaxson Ryker.”
Mick Foley took to Twitter and expressed his feeling towards these cuts as in just a month, a bunch of superstars have been shown the door. Foley is hurt after seeing this.
“This wave of @WWE cuts hurts my heart.”
Recently, a total of 18 superstars were released by the company, including Morrison’s wife, Franky Monet. Foley expressed his disappointment back then as well.
Releasing a handful amount of superstars is becoming a habit for WWE
Since the pandemic, many superstars are being taken out from the company stating the budget cut issue. More than fifty superstars have been shown the door.
Superstars like Russev, Zack Ryder, Braun Strowman and even retired wrestler Kurt Angle have been taken out. In this month, only more than 20 wrestlers are released like Keith Lee, Mia Yim, B-Fab etc.
All these releases have been stated the exact reason for budget cuts. Yesterday Sean Ross took to Twitter to reveal all the names that have been released from WWE today for the budget cuts issue. Some of the characters are pretty surprising, like Tegan Nox, Shane Throne and Morrison.
He also mentioned that this might not be the end to these as more releases can happen soon.
