Mirjam Poterbin was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 7th April, 1976. Her parents had been separated and she was raised by the single mother Milena who had been a hairdresser and beautician herself.
In Slovenia, she ran an eminent beauty shop while raising her son who has grown up to be a young fine successful man. Mirjam hadn’t really fallen under the limelight until 1993 when she participated in the run for Miss Slovenia.

Luka Doncic was born in 28th February 1999 to Mirjam and Sasa Doncic in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Sasa Doncic himself is a former basketball player and a coach, who started playing for his hometown club Union Olimpija when Luka was only eight. His first connection to the court was since then and he started training by the same age.
Playing for the club’s under-12 selection team, he started taking on players older than him. In 2011, by the age of 12, he was named MVP. In 2012 he started off with the Spanish team Real Madrid where he was the youngest but one of the most eminent players there.
He signed a 5-year contract with Real Madrid and his fame continued to skyrocket as the young player kept on helping the team to its victory. Until 2018, at the age of 19, Luka was already an internationally celebrated player and became the third overall pick by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2018 NBA Draft. He was then traded to the Dallas Mavericks who he continues to be a star player of.
