All you need to know about if New York Mets’ Luis Guillorme pitched in the recently concluded game against the Brewers.

The first game of the three-game series between the New York Mets and the Milwaukee Brewers did not go well for the Mets during their road trip to Milwaukee. The Mets were victorious in their first season series of the year against the Marlins over the course of the weekend; but, in the opening game of their season series against the Brewers, which took place at American Family Field on Monday afternoon, the Mets were defeated by a score of 10-0.

Since August 26, 2018, this is the first occasion that the Mets were held scoreless while suffering a double-digit defeat. The outcome brought the Mets’ overall record to 3-2 for the season. The Mets are banking on veteran right-hander Carlos Carrasco to anchor the team’s rotation after Justin Verlander suffered an injury, but on Monday afternoon, the 36-year-old right-hander was unable to keep his team from sinking.

In the third inning, Luis Guillorme blooped a single into right field, but he was eliminated from further play when Brandon Nimmo hit a ground ball. In addition to pitching a shutout eighth inning after the game was already out of the Mets’ reach, Guillorme concluded the afternoon with two of the Mets’ three hits from the ninth spot in the lineup. The top six hitters in the Mets lineup combined for a 0-for-19 batting average and four walks.

On a day that Mets fans would rather put behind them as quickly as possible, the fact that Guillorme was able to finish the inning he pitched without allowing any runs to score was the only thing that made them laugh.
