Oswaldo Cabrera is on the rise for the New York Yankees

Given the strength of their roster, the New York Yankees are once again among the teams who could win the World Series. They have an excellent combination of veteran elite players and some really decent young players in their roster as well.

Oswaldo Cabrera, one of the team’s younger players, who is just 24 years old has emerged as a tremendous asset for the Yankees. As a result of his recent stellar performance against the Baltimore Orioles, he has earned the confidence not only of the fans but also of manager Aaron Boone.

Cabrera has played in 6 games so far this season, and he has a batting average of.368 along with 7 hits, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. It is obvious that Cabrera needs to make significant strides offensively, but despite this, Boone has placed his faith in his player as they head into a grueling season consisting of 162 games.

During the 2016 season, Cabrera participated in 44 games and had a fielding percentage of.247. He also hit six balls out of the park. A number of scouts have put him on their watch lists, and they are of the opinion that he has the potential to become an uncontested starter for the New York Yankees.
