Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is dealing with “minor inflammation” in his knee after leaving a game against the Rays in the second inning on Friday. The team also announced that Guerrero will not be participating in the World Baseball Classic because of the injury. Below is the information that you require to know:
The organization initially referred to Guerrero’s injury as “knee soreness,” and he was forced to leave the game. In the bottom of the first inning, when Guerrero was up to bat, he hit a single with one out that drove in a run. He advanced to second base on the throw to the plate, and he remained in the game for the remainder of the inning.
The results of an MRI performed on him on Friday demonstrated that he did not sustain any structural damage. At the upcoming World Baseball Classic, which starts the following week, Guerrero was scheduled to play for the Dominican Republic team.
