The Houston Astros will face the Los Angeles Angels on the opening day of a new MLB season after a heavily delayed start due to the MLB lockout. This is a game between two teams in the AL West and it promises to be a great spectacle to start the season.
These two teams are probably the best teams in their division and every time they will face each other, The stakes will be high, as these two teams will fight each other for a direct playoff spot from their division at the end of the regular season.
The Astros went to the World Series last year and will be hoping to repeat their last season’s heroics this season also while the Angles will be looking to at least make the playoffs this time around because they probably have the two best baseball players in the world in their squad in Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout.

After the departure of Carlos Correa to the Minnesota Twins, Altuve is quite arguably the best player on this Astros team and he will look to start the season with a bang to help his team.
The reigning AL MVP Shohei Ohtani is quite arguably the best player in the world currently as the quality that he possesses, no other player can match that. He was among the players to hit the most home runs last season while also being a monster on the mound during pitching and its shows that he is a big-time player for this team.
This will be a tough matchup for both these teams but the Astros might face difficulty to start the season as they have a lost a major player in Carlos Correa during the offseason, which will have an impact on their season and we can see the Angels edging this one out on the opening day.
You can watch the game on MLB TV.
