The Los Angeles Dodgers faced the Chicago Cubs on July 10th, 2022, in what was the 4th game of their ongoing series. The Dodgers entered this game aiming to sweep the Chicago Cubs, as they had in the previous three games.
They were able to sweep the Chicago Cubs, but it certainly didn’t come easy. It was a very high-scoring game, but the Dodgers edged out the Reds by a score of 11-9.
Freddie Freeman continued his great form for the Dodgers as he was once again superb against the Cubs. In five at-bats in this game, Freeman had four hits and had a home run as well.
Apart from Freddie, Trea Turner also had a good game. In five at-bats, he had two hits along with a home run. Surprisingly, in a high-scoring affair, Mookie Betts went without a hit, but his teammates were able to get the job done.
Los Angeles Dodgers are running away in the NL West
The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently on a 7-game winning streak. They have also won 11 of their past 12 games in the league, and are slowly proving why they are one of the favorites to win the world series.
Due to their tremendous form, they are running away with the NL West title. They currently have a record of 56-29 and are eight games ahead of the second-placed San Diego Padres.
