The San Diego Padres faced off against the Colorado Rockies on July 11th, 2022, in the first game of their new series. Both these teams know each other quite well as they belong to the same division, i.e., NL West.

The Padres were able to handle the business in this game, and they registered another win to be on track to qualify for the postseason.

Earlier in the game, it looked like the Padres had it under their control, but the Rockies roared back and made the game very close in the end. However, the team from San Diego was able to get the job.

Manny Machado was once again the key to his team’s other win this season. He had a home run in this game and gave the Padres a strong start to another important series.
