Jake Cronenworth guided the San Diego Padres to a huge win, as they won the series against the Brewers in another close affair.

The San Diego Padres were finally able to clinch a hard-fought series against the Milwaukee Brewers. Heading into the 4th game, the Padres were up 2-1, against their NL Rivals.

The 4th game of the series didn’t disappoint a bit as the Padres edged out a thriller. The game was tied after 9 innings, but the Padres took charge in the 10th innings. Jake Cronenworth was the star of the night as he scored a 3-run home run to seal the deal for his team.

The final score of the game was 6-4 in the favor of the Padres. After clinching this series, they improve to a record of 33-21. They are currently placed second in the NL West behind the LA Dodgers. On the other hand, the Milwaukee Brewers are now 33-23 and are still at the top of the NL Central.

San Diego Padres win without the heroics of Manny Machado

The San Diego Padres were able to win the game despite an off night from Manny Machado. Machado is currently the favorite to win NL MVP, and he has been in terrific form lately.

He didn’t hit a single ball throughout the game, and it was rather a surprising performance from him. Even though his team was able to win the game without his contribution, he will look forward to helping them in the future.

The Padres will now head to face the New York Mets. These two teams have been among the best teams in baseball this season. As a result, that series also promises to be an exciting one, as two explosive offenses will go against each other.
