All you need to know about which team will Cody Bellinger be playing for in the 2023 MLB season.
Cody Bellinger was born on July 13, 1995 in Scottsdale, AZ. He is the son of Clay Bellinger, a former big leaguer who won two World Series with the New York Yankees. Bellinger began playing baseball at a young age and spent a lot of time as a kid hanging out in major league clubhouses. Bellinger was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft. A $700,000 signing incentive influenced his decision to turn professional right away. Bellinger began his professional career with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Arizona League affiliate shortly after graduating from high school and before signing with the Dodgers.
Bellinger has since played in the minor leagues, where he has experienced both success and disappointment. In the 2023 MLB season, he will play for the Chicago Cubs.
