All the details you need to know about who will be the San Diego Padres shortstop for the 2023 MLB season.
The San Diego Padres will head into the 2017 Major League Baseball season as one of the favorites to win the World Series since they have every player on their roster that is necessary to win the championship.
It was a difficult decision for the San Diego Padres to make because they have so many talented players on their roster. For example, they have Fernando Tatis Jr., Xander Bogaerts, Kim Ha-Seong, and even Jake Cronenworth, all of whom are capable of playing the shortstop position. Therefore, it was unclear who would be the San Diego Padres’ shortstop for the 2023 Major League Baseball season.
Xander Bogaerts is currently projected to hold the position of shortstop for the San Diego Padres in the 2023 season. If this projection holds true, then Tatis will play in right field, and Kyle Cronenworth will play at second base in that season. Although Kim will be used in the rotation, it is quite doubtful that Bogaerts would be passed over for the starting position.
The Padres are stacked in every position and they could still make multiple additions to boost their chances of winning the World Series, as Juan Soto and Manny Machado contract talks remain impending.
