Fallon Fox brushed off claims of trans women having an advantage over cisgender women in sports

It has been over seven years since the first MMA fighter to come out as transgender, Fallon Fox stepped inside the cage. At 46 years of age, she might as well be retired now.

Her MMA career never saw the light of the day after her fight against Tamikka Brents on the 13th of September, 2014. In a bad battering, Fox broke Brents’ skull, who in turn suffered a concussion, needing seven staples in her head.

There was a massive controversy following Fox’s win over Brents. A number of MMA experts weighed in on the same. Although, she was allowed to compete after that, the MMA community was against her.

That night at CCCW 24: The Undertaking, was the last time Fox ever stepped inside the cage. Her MMA record reads 5 wins and 1 loss.

Fallon Fox quote tweets recent trans women study

Fallon Fox has become more of a transgender activist now. To each, their own; Fox has been actively campaigning for trans women to get equal opportunity in cisgender women sports.

She recently quote tweeted a study that claimed that haemoglobin levels and muscle mass percentage of trans women that underwent testosterone deprivation, reduced.

Fox wrote on her Twitter handle:

Don’t come at me with “trans women have an advantage over cis women with endurance” ever again.

Her Tweet comes in the wake of the ‘Lia Thomas controversy.’ Thomas, a swimmer, who had been critiqued by many for competing alongside cisgender women whilst being a trans woman, received words of support from Fox.

Fox tweeted:

“Trans athlete Isaac Henig is a trans man who has never been on HRT (testosterone), & he just beat trans woman Lia Thomas who has been on HRT for over 2yrs. Also, some cisgender women had faster times than Lia Thomas this time around.
