Jake Paul has expressed his desire to try his hand at MMA whilst also claiming that Khabib Nurmagomedov and team are ready to coach him

Jake Paul is just a couple of days away from his much-anticipated rematch against Tyron Woodley. The undefeated YouTube star will take on the former UFC champ on the 18th of December at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 – Leave no doubt

The pair previously met in August this year, and Paul earned a narrow split decision win over Woodley. Just when it looked like the Woodley chapter was closed since Paul was set to fight Tyson Fury’s half-brother Tommy Fury, Fury pulled out due to a rib injury. In stepped the ever-ready Woodley.

The pre-fight press conference recently went ahead, and speaking to the media Paul expressed his desire to try his hand at mixed martial arts. A confident Paul brought up his wrestling background, and stated that he could very well take up high-level MMA.

Plus, ‘The Problem Child’ revealed that Khabib Nurmagomedov, Javier Mendez and team were ready to coach him.

He was quoted as saying:

“I don’t see why if I can do Boxing at that high of a level that I couldn’t do MMA at this high of a level. I’m gonna go get coached up by [Javier] Mendez, Team Khabib and that’s that. They’re down, 100 percent.”

Will the Jake Paul juggernaut continue?

Jake Paul is 4-0 up in his professional boxing career. He made his debut against fellow YouTuber AnesonGib in January 2020.

Following an easy win, Paul then knocked Nate Robinson out later that year. Since then he has beaten two opponents with MMA backgrounds – Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

Had it not been for the injury, Tommy Fury would have been the first professional boxer Paul would have fought.
