PFL women’s lightweight champion Kayla Harrison has very often been asked about an AEW crossover
Kayla Harrison is one of the biggest names in women’s mixed martial arts right now.
The PFL women’s lightweight champion is currently 11-0 in her MMA career and had a very successful career as a Judoka as well.
Harrison is set to take on Taylor Guardado in the finals of the women’s lightweight tournament at PFL 10 on the 27th of October, 2021.
A win will see her become the PFL women’s lightweight champion for the second time, after having won the same in 2019.
With just one fight left in Harrison’s PFL contract, she would become one of MMA’s hottest properties if she chooses to not renew her contract.
Addressing the same in a recent interview, Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting asked Harrison about a crossover to AEW.
While Harrison didn’t write off about moving to WWE’s rivals, she claimed that she would be levels above each and every superstar on the roster (male and female).
That was when she spoke about ragdolling veteran wrestler Chris Jericho.
Harrison was quoted as saying:
“Chris Jericho, I would eat him for breakfast. Are you kidding me? That old, washed up, has-been. Are you kidding me? Grab him by his hair and throw him around.” [via Jed I. Goodman]
Kayla Harrison responds to Dana White’s “stay in PFL” comments
With the hype surrounding Kayla Harrison growing bigger and bigger, UFC President Dana White was asked about signing the PFL champ.
However, White was still not convinced about Harrison having it easy against the likes of Amanda Nunes, and advised Harrison to stay in the PFL.
Replying to the same in a recent interview with MMA Junkie ahead of her fight against Taylor Guardado, Harrison said:
“That’s what he does. That’s his job. I’m gonna talk about how I’m the greatest of all time, and he’s gonna talk about, ‘Well, calm down. No, you’re not.’ This is a game. This is a business. The difference is I really am gonna be the greatest of all time. He’s gonna see.” [via MMA Junkie]
