Mixed Gender MMA Fight
A Polish fight promotion recently hosted a mixed gender MMA fight leaving the MMA world in shock and anger
MMA-VIP, came under fire, after it hosted a mixed gender MMA fight. The event took place in Czestochowa, Poland.
The fight took place between Piotrek Muaboy and an arm wrestler/fitness instructor Ula Siekacz (a woman).
After a bit of exchanging tame strikes, Muaboy began inflicting damage with some big punches.
The decisive point in the fight was when Siekacz shot for the takedown, but failed miserably.
Muaboy used this to his advantage and unleashed a flurry of strikes to batter the helpless Siekacz.
The referee wasted no time in calling a stop to the contest.
The MMA world was disgusted with what they had witnessed, and was vociferous in expressing their opinions against such fights.

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the governing body for amateur MMA events, didn’t get to sanction the mixed gender MMA fight.
Calling it unacceptable, they released a statement to ‘The Mirror’. The statement read:
“Media coverage has brought our attention to an inter-sex MMA bout that took place in Poland over the weekend. Although neither the promoter nor competitors have any association with IMMAF, as the international governing body for amateur mixed martial arts, I feel it is important that I state our position. IMMAF categorically disagrees with this intentionally scandalous, form of entertainment, which does not represent the sport of MMA or its values and puts women at risk. It is unacceptable that women and men should compete against each other in combat sports, essentially for reasons of safety but also fair play, and we in no way endorse this.” [via Bloody Elbow]
It is worth noting that another mixed gender MMA fight went ahead that night as well.
