He completed his high school education at Middleburg Academy in Middleburg, Virginia. He also played basketball at Virginia Commonwealth University’s college. In spite of not having participated in any organized football since he was a high school freshman, Alie-Cox joined the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2017.

After his freshman year of high school, Alie-Cox did not play any organized football before signing with the Indianapolis Colts on April 21, 2017.
On August 5, 2017, the Colts placed him on injured reserve after waiving him or declaring him hurt due to a lower leg ailment.
On August 11, 2017, he was released following a settlement for his injuries. On October 7, 2017, the Colts re-signed him to the practice squad. On January 1st, 2018, he agreed to a reserve/future deal with the Colts. Alie-Cox was released by the Colts on September 1, 2018, and was added the following day to the practice squad. The 28th of September 2018 saw his promotion to the active roster. On October 3, 2018, he was again released and signed back to the practice squad.
