Blackbird, the developer behind Minecraft Legends, has previously collaborated with Mojang on Minecraft Earth. This bodes well for its involvement in Minecraft Legends. The latest installment of the game was unveiled at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12th.
Minecraft Legends Release Date
There is no official announcement regarding Minecraft Legends’ release date, however, the announcement trailer revealed that the next Minecraft title will release in 2023 on Xbox Series X/S, Game Pass for consoles and PCs. Minecraft Legends will be available for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on day one, just like every other first-party Xbox title that has been announced so far.

Gameplay Details
According to the legend, only you will be able to bring together the mobs of the overworld and defend them from the ravenous piglins in Minecraft Legends. There is no record of the great hero who raised his banner to save the Overworld – all that remains is a powerful legend. The events you will experience are neither fact nor fiction; they are simply part of a story that has been passed from villager to villager.
There will also be a lot of construction and destruction elements in the gameplay of Minecraft Legends. Players will have to assemble their own armies by forming unexpected alliances and then lead them into battle against Minecraft’s piglins.
Third-person views allow you to explore the Overworld, which is both familiar and fresh in many ways. To eliminate piglin corruption, you command a team that guards peaceful towns and combats hordes of piglins. You are the focal point of the entire battle, fighting alongside your teammates as you direct their actions. Mojang confirmed that Minecraft Legends will feature online campaign co-op and competitive multiplayer, though the studio has not detailed what its multiplayer will be. The team will share more details at a later date this year.
