Stefanos Tsitsipas defended his Monte Carlo Masters title on Sunday by beating Spanish star Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina 6-3, 7-6 (7/3). It was Tsitsipas’ second consecutive title win in Monaco and his 8th ATP career win.
Tsitsipas is fast gaining a reputation for being a strong player on the clay court and could be on course to take the mantle from Rafael Nadal. The 23-year-old has already won four clay tournaments and is showing no signs of slowing down.
