The 2022 Monte Carlo Masters is entering its last stages. Here’s a look at the semi-final previews, live streaming details and our predictions for the games on Saturday.
The semi-finals for the Men’s Singles at the Monte Carlo Masters have been set. The SF games of the tournament will take place on Saturday, with Grigor Dimitrov set to face Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina and Stefanos Tsitsipas on course to defend his title against Alexander Zverev in the other SF.
Dimitrov pulled off a stunning upset against Casper Ruud in the quarter-finals. Despite being a rather unfamiliar face in the semi-finals, he has managed to get wins in tough battles. This shows that the Bulgarian is arguably in the form of his life and could be onto something special at the Monte Carlo Masters this year. The 30-year-old will now face another stern challenge in the form of Fokina in the semis.
Meanwhile, Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina is enjoying a dream run at the clay tournament as well. The Spaniard is fast gaining a reputation as a clay-court specialist after beating the likes of Novak Djokovic and Taylor Fritz in Monaco this year. The youngster is now on course to reach his first ever final.
These two players have met each other just once before with Fokina beating Dimitrov. However, our prediction for the SF on Saturday is a win in three sets for Dimitrov.
In what promises to be an intense game on Saturday, Tsitsipas will lock horns with Zverev. Zverev managed to grind out a win over Jannik Sinner in a third set tiebreak, and Tsitsipas had to fight back from 4-0 down in the third against Diego Schwartzman in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
But both these players will know what it takes to get an advantage over the other. Tsitsipas and Zverev have played each other nine times, with the Greek holding the better 6-3 recover over the German. Our prediction is a win in three sets for Tsitsipas.
In India, the semi-final games of the Monte Carlo Masters will be available on Voot. The Grigor Dimitrov vs Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina game will begin at 5 PM IST and the
In the USA, all games will be broadcast on Tennis Channel. In the UK, fans can watch the Monte Carlo Masters action on Amazon Prime.
