The Third seed Borna Coric will square off against Arthur Rinderknech in the round of 16 of the 2023 Montpellier Open.

The Croatian star played in the inaugural United Cup to start the season. He defeated Francisco Cerundolo and Jack Sock but lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the 18-team tournament.
The 26-year-old went on to play in the Australian Open. However, his campaign did not last long as he lost to Jiri Lehecka in the first round in straight sets. At the Montpellier Open, Coric received a bye into the second round. He will hope to bounce back strongly after the Australian Open debacle.
Arthur Rinderknech
The Frenchman has not had a great start to the season. He defeated Francisco Cerundolo in the United Cup but lost to Borna Coric. In the Adelaide International 2, Rinderknech crashed out in the first round after losing to Marc-Andrea Huesler. In the Australian Open, Rinderknech was comprehensively beaten by Yosuke Watanuki in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-2.
The 27-year-old won his first match since the United Cup against Luca Nardi in the first round of the Montpellier Open. He defeated the Italian player in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, and hit 10 aces in the match. Rinderknech also had an immaculate win percentage of 94 on the first serve.
