The MultiVersus Patch Notes are here and there are lots of changes that will make you happy and sad both at the same time.
As MultiVersus launches its open beta, the developer is making some changes as part of an update following a week of early access. A brand new playable character is being added in this patch, but there’s more to take notice of, particularly for those terrorizing the game as a tornado-happy Taz.
During the early access portion of the beta, Taz’s side special, which whips up into the character’s signature tornado, was a bit too powerful, so developers have altered it. It’s interesting that the team is planning to rebalance Taz completely. LeBron has been added as the latest character, Batman’s batarang has also been nerfed, and various changes in Iron Giant, Velma, and Buggs Bunny along with many bugs have been fixed. To know all the MultiVersus Patch Notes, read below.
Breakdown of MultiVersus Patch Notes
Iron Giant
- Air Down Attack cannot combo into itself.
- The Air/Ground Down Special’s ability to continuously hit and immobilize opponents has been removed.
- Attack up Air can’t hit opponents repeatedly any longer
Batman
- In air and ground neutral attacks, the Batarang cooldown has been increased from 13 seconds to 14 seconds. When Batarang is picked up, it returns 11.55 seconds instead of 11.05. This means that the minimum time between Batarang throws is now 2.45 seconds instead of 1.95 seconds.
- It was very difficult for opponents of Batman to gain an advantage with Batarang attacks because Batman’s pick-up cooldown was too short. This change should make it easier for opponents of Batman to get an advantage with Batarang attacks.
- Grapple’s occasional tendency to fire you off the map has been fixed.
Bugs Bunny
An air-up attack increases the startup window by two frames and decreases the active window by two frames. By changing Bugs Bunny’s hitbox, he hit nearly everywhere around him. This should make the up air more manageable.
Velma
As one of the heaviest characters in the game, Velma’s weight has been reduced from 70 to 63. This reduces Velma’s weight to where she was originally envisioned by the officials.
Steven Universe
Air Neutral Attack: Knocks opponents up and away to stop an endless attack that is brought on by switching between Air Down Attack and Air Neutral Attack.
Taz
- A new patch will convert the tornado into a cooldown move. The tornado is Taz’s signature move, and the officials want it to remain one of his strongest attacks, with the cooldown forcing more intentional use. In the near future, Taz’s other moves in his kit will be buffed to compensate for these nerfs, especially at higher levels.
- Taz’s Tornado has dominated early access and offered newer players a non-obvious knowledge check. By reducing its effectiveness, there is a chance to improve the game’s health loop and overall gameplay experience.
- When a tornado passes an ally, its duration decreases, and its additional duration increases.
- A single hit in the tornado has been removed.
- The hit pause of all hits has been decreased.
- Knockback from the tornado’s final impact was decreased from 1375 to 1275.
- Fixed a bug that prevented Taz from performing any aerial strikes after exceeding the use of his air special.
The MultiVersus Patch Notes for Taz are quite a lot.
So these were all the MultiVersus Patch Notes that you should know. If you are a Taz player then you are going to face the nerfs but do not worry as there will be other buffs for Taz coming in the future.
