Players battle on different stages in MultiVersus and aim to knock their opponents outside the arena in order to knock them further out. Damage taken by the characters causes further damage to them. Gameplay consists primarily of two-vs-two matches, though free-for-all and one-v-one games are also available.
There are currently 19 playable characters; 18 from ten Warner Bros. movie titles. Characters with skins based on other characters have their own voice actors, such as Uncle Shagworthy and Cake, which are skins of Shaggy and Jake, respectively. New characters will be added before and after the game is released.
Featuring characters from hit Warner Bros franchises, including characters from superheroes to cartoon classics, you’re sure to find a familiar face to fight with. At the beginning of the game, you’re unable to test out all characters because each one is unique and unrepeatable. Certainly, each of them has its fans. But, unfortunately, you can’t test them out all at once. Once you’ve completed the tutorial, you’ll unlock the Wonder Woman character, but to unlock all the other characters, you’ll have to spend 2000 coins. You won’t be able to earn that many coins quickly, so you’ll only be able to choose one or two characters at first.
