My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble Battle Royale – Release Date, Roster, and more

Published by

The first trailer for My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble was just released by publisher Bandai Namco, and here’s all you need to know about it.

My Hero Academia fans will be able to experience another new gaming title depicting their beloved anime, this time in an online battle royale, following the popularity of My Hero One’s Justice and My Hero Academia Ultra Impact.

My Hero Academy Ultra Rumble is currently being developed, with a beta test planned for the near future. It offers an exciting new experience in which you can harness the quirks of heroes in a fast-paced environment!

Each match in My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble is a free-to-play online battle royale with 24 players. There will be eight squads playing against each other, each forming a group of three. Cards will be accessible in the arena, according to the official Japanese website, that can be used to boost a hero’s quirk.

Release Date and Platforms

Given that the game is actually hosting a beta test, we predict the anime-themed battle royale will be released in 2022. This may allow the devs enough time to pivot from the beta before releasing the full game in the coming months.

Ultra Rumble will be released on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, as well as next-generation gaming systems.

Hero Roster

Bandai Namco has stated that the game’s launch roster would contain twelve characters from the My Hero Academia series, including key characters like Midoriya, Bakugo, Uraraka, and many more.

Todoroki, All Might, and Toga are among the initial twelve characters, albeit their powers have yet to be revealed by the developers. Here is the complete list of the hero roster.

My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble Battle Royale Gameplay

My Hero Academia’s first venture into the battle royale genre will add a few surprises to the tried-and-true way, everyone for themselves modes popular in other games. Three teams of eight will be dropped into an area in the anime’s version of the mode, with selected characters defining powers — “Quirks” for those who watch the show, of course — for players.

These teams must then defeat the other teams while also collecting cards from throughout the map to power up. There will also be endangered civilians spread throughout the area; some teams will be tasked with rescuing them, while others will be tasked with stopping them.
