Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl both recount the same tale of a young boy who goes on an adventure to record monsters before accidentally becoming the region’s best warrior and defeating an overt death cult with strange hair – you know, regular Pokémon stuff. Even after defeating the Elite Four and unlocking the National Dex, there are no major twists, and for the time being, the Pokémon roster is confined to those that were available in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum.
But following the same system does have its benefits. You know that some of your favorite things are returning. So is the case with the Mystery Gifts in POkemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Mystery Gift – Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
Mystery Gifts are items or special Pokemon that are available for a limited time and are free to receive and download. You will be unable to obtain these items or Pokemon once the event has ended unless a player who participated in the event is willing to trade them to you. A Mystery Gift can only be received once per save data. You can obtain the same Mystery Gift on both games if you have one copy of Brilliant Diamond and one copy of Shining Pearl.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Mystery Gift Guide
Unlock the ability to obtain Mystery Gifts at the Jubilife City TV station! You can collect rare, limited-time items and Event Pokemon using the Mystery Gift function. To learn how to unlock and get Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, continue reading.
Get the First Gym Badge
After earning the first gym badge and beating the Galactic Grunts in a Double Battle north of the city, you can unlock the opportunity to obtain Mystery Gifts at the Jubilife City TV station.
Jubilife TV Station
Talk to the TV producer on the third floor of Jubilife TV and answer his question about TV with “EVERYONE HAPPY WI-FI CONNECTION” to unlock the Mystery Gift feature. You can get stickers by selecting any of the other random possibilities, so you can do that first before giving the correct answer.
Getting the Mystery Gift – Via Internet and Via Code
By pressing X after accurately answering, Mystery Gifts will appear in the start menu. When you choose Mystery Gift from the menu, you’ll be given two options for receiving a Mystery Gift: Get by Internet or Get with Code/Password. By clicking Check Mystery Gifts, you can see the Mystery Gifts you’ve received.

Platinum Outfits Mystery Gift
- Start Date – November 19, 2021
- End Date – February 21, 2022 (3:59 PM PT)
- Mystery Gift Option – Get via Internet
In the Diamond and Pearl remakes, the Pokemon Platinum Outfits are available as equipable outfits for Lucas and Dawn. Put on the Platinum Outfits at the Metronome Style Shop in Veilstone City after redeeming the Mystery Gift code.
Manaphy Egg Mystery Gift
- Start Date – November 19, 2021
- End Date – February 21, 2022 (3:59 PM PT)
- Mystery Gift Option – Get via Internet
During the release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players can receive a Manaphy Egg for a limited period. To hatch the legendary Pokemon Manaphy, walk throughout the Sinnoh Region with the Manaphy Egg in your party.
Bonus! Free Pokemon
Free Jirachi Gift
If you have a save data for either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, speak to the gentleman in the flower field on the southwest end of Floaroma Town, and he’ll give you Jirachi.
Free Mew Gift
If you have a save data for either Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, speak to the madame in the flower field on the southwest end of Floaroma Town, and she’ll give you Mew.
