However, it was a long time ago and the NBA is set to return again with the 2021-22 season in just under a month. The regular season will start on October 19th which is just under 20 days from now. The teams have set their rosters and are ready for the upcoming season. The regular season will see it’s closing on April 10th 2022 and the playoffs are scheduled to start just two days later.
LA Lakers and Brooklyn Nets have established themselves as the favorites to win the Championship even before the season has started. The opening night of the 2021-22 season features two big boy clashes. Brooklyn Nets will go up against reigning champions Bucks. Later, Golden State Warriors will face LA Lakers to start their new campaign.
Both these matches have been put together to start the new season with a bang. Both the matches will be full of action and you won’t want to miss any of it. The Nets and Warriors will be involved in away matches and it comes in as a good new for the teams. They will be able to use Kyrie Irving and Andrew Wiggins who will miss out on the home games as per the city’s mandates for vaccination.
When will the NBA 2021-22 preseason start?
Before every regular season their are some games played in the preseason as well to get the campaign up and ready. The fans will not have to wait till October 19th to see their favorite teams in action again. The NBA preseason will start on October 3rd at 3:30 pm ET. The preseason opener is also set to be a cracking one.
Nets will take on the Lakers to kick off the preseason and many believe they will be the finalists for the 2021-22 season. The two teams are set to meet each other again on Christmas day as well.
Every team is scheduled to play four preseason games ahead of the regular season. The fans can catch most of the action live on NBATV. The teams will look to perform good in the preseason as well to build momentum ahead of the new campaign.
