NBA 75th anniversary team has been announced to tip off the landmark season of 2021
The NBA has recently released the 75th anniversary team for it’s landmark 2021 season. A total of 76 players have made it to the list, however, it was originally supposed to be 75 but a tie in the voting resulted in it featuring one extra.
The list consists of the best 75 players in the history of the league without any particular order. The players in the list have a combined 158 NBA Championships, 730 NBA All-Star appearances, 110 NBA Most Valuable Players and Finals MVP. Along with over 1.5 million points scored.
The team was selected by a panel consisting of current and former NBA players, managers, team executives, sportswriters, broadcasters and even WNBA legends. The panel were asked to pick their 75 greatest players in the league’s history. Only one rule was laid out, that current and former players were not allowed to include themselves.
As mentioned earlier the list consists of 76 greatest players in the rich history of the NBA. The list consists of eleven current players as well including LeBron James and Stephen Curry along with nine others and also six players from outside of America. Legends like Michael Jordan, Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Nash, etc. have also made it to the list.
