“Cleveland’s a good team but just got better more productive offensively”- Colin Cowherd gives his honest views on Cleveland Cavaliers adding Donovan Mitchell

The Cleveland Cavaliers recently acquired Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz via a trade, and it has made them a contender.

Donovan Mitchell was traded from the Utah Jazz to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a shocking trade. The names of the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks have been linked to Mitchell in trade rumors throughout the entire offseason.

Eventually, he plans to settle down in Cleveland. With Donovan Mitchell added to the mix, the Cavaliers are now serious title contenders in the NBA. The Cavaliers included three unprotected first-round picks, two pick swaps, and players Lauri Markkanen, Ochair Agbaji, and Collin Sexton in their offer to acquire Mitchell.

Recently, Colin Cowherd gave an honest assessment of the Donovan Mitchell trade. He said, “I have a rule in trades if the better team got the best player I don’t care who won the trade that’s the team I’m going to pay attention to.”

Cowherd added, “My only concern is Will Donovan Mitchell take shots away from Darius Garland and Evan Mobley he can be a little bit of a ball hog outside of that to me Cleveland’s a good team but just got better and more productive offensively…”

He lauded the efforts of the Cavaliers to bring a star player to their team which made a statement. Cowherd said, “Cleveland saying Darius Garland Evan Mobley we hit two home runs in the draft let’s add a veteran All-Star level piece let’s go for it I’m for going for it I love seeing these Midwestern teams beaten down for years taking swings.”
