NBA creates scoring tracker to keep everyone in the know when LeBron James will pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record

The NBA has created a scoring tracker to keep its audience posted on how far LeBron James is away from breaking the all time scoring record of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

One of the most hallowed records in the NBA is nearing its end as LeBron James comes closer and closer to the all-time scoring record in the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar – often known as one of the greatest players to ever play in the NBA – is no stranger to breaking records, and is currently approaching one of the longest-standing records in the history of the NBA.

It was only last year that LeBron became the first ever player in NBA history to register 10,000 points, rebounds and assists in his career, and he recently broke into another list of elite company with his 20th season in the NBA – only eight other players have played as many as 20 seasons in the NBA. However, the one record still eluding James is the one that he most desires to have.

LeBron is closing in on the all-time scoring record held by the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. While the Lakers legend has the most NBA points of all time with a tally of 38,387 points, the Lakers superstar is only 1294 points behind Abdul-Jabbar – and if LeBron performs similar to his ppg tally of 30.3 last season, he will approach the record midway through the season.
