Shaq, a longtime supporter of Krispy Kreme, now does own Krispy Kreme outlet in Atlanta. Since it has been located on Ponce de Leon Avenue for 60 years, this specific doughnut outlet holds the distinction of being Atlanta’s first Krispy Kreme.

President and CEO of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Tony Thompson, stated, “In addition to Shaquille’s status as a sports and entertainment icon and businessman, he is known for spreading joy, which aligns with our positioning and mission.” 

A precise date for the rebuilding has not yet been provided by Shaq or Krispy Kreme. They reassure their customers, meanwhile, that a number of the branch’s famous features would be kept. In 2022, the proposed renovation will get underway.
