Match Preview: Golden State Warriors vs Boston Celtics
The Golden State Warriors will face the Boston Celtics on 5th June 2022, in what will be the second game of their ongoing series in the NBA Finals.
Boston came away with a huge win in game 1 on the home court of the Warriors, and as a result, are in a good position as of now. On the other hand, the Warriors need to win this game at any cost. If they go down 0-2, with the next two games to be played in Boston, things might get pretty tricky for them.
Celtics:
PLAYER | POSITION | UPDATED | INJURY | INJURY STATUS |
---|---|---|---|---|
Robert Williams III | C | Sat, Jun 4 | Knee | Game Time Decision |
Warriors:
PLAYER | POSITION | UPDATED | INJURY | INJURY STATUS |
---|---|---|---|---|
Andre Iguodala | SG | Sat, Jun 4 | Neck | Game Time Decision |
Gary Payton II | PG | Sat, Jun 4 | Elbow | Game Time Decision |
Otto Porter Jr. | SF | Sat, Jun 4 | Foot | Game Time Decision |
James Wiseman | C | Sat, Mar 26 | Knee | Out for the season |
Poole wasn’t at his best in game 1 of the series, and his team missed his valuable contribution. He needs to step and help Klay and Steph because the Celtics’ defense is pretty solid, and it will require a team effort to take them down.
Tatum had a terrible outing in Game 1 of the series, as he wasn’t able to contribute much with the points. He is bound to have a bounce-back game here, and we can see him exploding for a 30-35 points game in this match.
The Warriors will be the favorites to come up with a win here and level up the series because it’s very hard to see them losing two straight games at their own home court.
