Once, Gabrielle Union advised Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry to end their relationship
Gabrielle Union said on Dwyane Wade’s Instagram Live that she had advised Stephen Curry and Ayesha to end things because she didn’t think their relationship would endure.
This week, Ayesha and Steph Curry appeared on Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s Instagram Live. Following Wade’s introduction, Gabrielle Union joined the discussion and recounted her former way of life and how young Ayesha and Steph Curry were at the time. Gabrielle Union mentioned how she had counselled both Ayesha and Steph to end their relationship.
Gabrielle stated, “You guys, the likelihood of this working out is very low and you should just break up now and have s** with other people.”
Stephen and Ayesha got married on July 30, 2011 while they were 22 and 23. At the age of 14 and 15, they first interacted while attending the same church youth group in Charlotte, North Carolina. From Toronto, her family had recently relocated.
Many years later, while Ayesha was residing in Los Angeles and aspiring to be an actor, they started dating. A collegiate basketball player at the time, Steph came to see the ESPY Awards. Gabrielle Union attributed her dissatisfaction with Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry’s romance to being a “thot.”
However during the live, Gabrielle Union said that she had a good time back then, and also pointed out the advise she offered to Ayesha and a teenage Stephen Curry. She reportedly advised them to end their relationship and start seeing other people since she believed the likelihood of their relationship succeeding was “extremely low.” In addition to that, she acknowledged that she spoke differently back then. In his apology on behalf of his family, Dwyane Wade grinned and said it was no longer who they were.
