LeBron James had a poor night against the Sacramento Kings in the preseason opener, but he shut down all of his critics following a dominating performance against the Phoenix Suns in the second game.

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers lost the game, the entire team showed a lot of promise, and until the starters were playing they were playing quite well against last season’s 1st seed. LeBron James scored 23 points in the 1st half against the Suns, and his famous critic Skip Bayless was quite pleased with his performance against the Suns.

Talking about LeBron James, Skip Bayless said, “I gotta tell you, I thought he looked, dare I say, fabulous last night. His body looks sensational. I’m not exaggerating. I’m not kidding. I’m not sarcastic. I’m speaking straight from the gut and the heart.”

Skip Bayless continued, “LeBron James last night looked 37 going on 27 and maybe 22 because his body looked 22-ish to me. His energy in preseason game number two. Trust me, I’ve been watching this for a long time, he came out with Game 7 energy last night.”

He added, “And I’m like, ‘LeBron, leave some of it for the regular season’. I’ve never seen any superstar play any harder than LeBron played last night in preseason game number two. He was possessed last night to right the ship. Not only personally, but team-wise he wanted them to look like a contender last night.”

LeBron James would certainly love to carry this form into the regular season as the Lakers will look to bounce back from a horrid season last time around. Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis will also be required to step up if the Lakers want to gain back the respect that they have lost over the last year.
