“He wants to sit at home… make it easy” – Shannon Sharpe believes Kevin Durant doesn’t want to build a team in search of an NBA title

Shannon Sharpe believes Kevin Durant doesn’t want to work hard and build a team to win the NBA Championship.

The NBA community as a whole was shocked by Kevin Durant’s desire for a trade. In order to acquire KD, it’s expected that a team will have to make the highest offer in NBA history. It is one of the main reasons there isn’t a clear favorite to win KD.

Although Durant still has four years remaining on the Brooklyn Nets’ maximum contract, he wants to leave the company. KD has indicated that he would prefer to play for the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns. His desire to join a contender led to more criticism of him.

Shannon Sharpe also took shots at Durant for easing his way out to join a contender once again as he did back in 2016 when he joined the Golden State Warriors.

Shannon said, “Kevin Durant don’t want to that grind see there is a grind when you put a team together and you have to grow Kevin Durant want the Arizona team, see it’s already made for you guys already got the flavors whatever flavor you want it’s already the can you just pour it in the thing Kevin Durant don’t want to mix the tea he don’t want the tea bags he don’t want to warm it up he don’t want to put the sugar in it he don’t want to do none of that…”

Sharpe further said, “I get it you can sit at home get on your computer and get stuff from Amazon and get fashion over but don’t sometimes you just want to go to the mall and just feel like oh like look at this baby you like this baby in this suit I think i look good at the Maldives with this don’t you just want to do that Kevin Durant don’t want to do that he wants to sit at home and shop make it Easy but it ain’t making it easy for it.”

There are not many suitors for Kevin Durant in the market

Due to the high asking price of the Brooklyn Nets for Kevin Durant, not many teams can afford to make a move for him. As a result, the discussions around his trade have slowed down over the days.

KD had already stated that Miami and Phoenix were his top picks for vacation spots. Given what transpired with the Ayton trade, it appears that Phoenix won’t be able to trade for Durant.

The last remaining team that could sign Kevin Durant is the Miami Heat. Even though the Nets are unimpressed with the assets they have offered, they will be forced to accept a less generous offer if KD truly wants to leave the team.

Many still believe that Kevin Durant will start the next season for the Brooklyn Nets. If he stays there is a high possibility that Kyrie Irving will also be staying with the Nets.

A Nets team with KD and Kyrie returning with all those players that they have around him is a legitimate championship contender. Ben Simmons will be back fit and so will Joe Harris. As a result, if KD doesn’t get moved, the Nets can easily win it all if all the players are absolutely locked in for the next season.
