Who is Shaquille O’Neal’s sister? How did she die? 

Shaquille O’Neal had three siblings when he was a child including his two sisters, Ayesha and Lateefah, as well as his brother Jamal. Shaquille O’Neal, regrettably, has already had to say goodbye to one of the three friends he had spent his childhood with. Ayesha Harrison-Jex died in 2019 after an extended fight with cancer.

Although she was still in college when she was diagnosed, she overcame the challenge and earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. She was 40 when she passed away, and her son Bryce is left behind.

The Hall of Fame centre was justifiably upset by this news. He had seen his sister battle for so long that he finally had to say goodbye. Shaquille O’Neal is fortunate to have a solid network of supporters. Following the devastating news, his co-hosts of “Inside the NBA” paid tribute to Ayesha during a TNT show that evening.

Anyone can be affected by the loss of a sibling. Not to mention the untimely passing of a close friend and former teammate a year later. Shaq still has the potential to put a warm glow on everyone in his vicinity despite everything.
