Ben Simmons will be returning to play in Philadelphia next week and NBA legend Charles Barkley expressed concern for him.
Last season, star point guard Ben Simmons was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets, in a deal that sent James Harden to the 76ers. Due to injury, Ben Simmons was unable to play a single game for the Nets but he is playing this season.
However, the defensive starlet hasn’t gone back to his all-star level and has struggled quite a lot this season. Next week the Brooklyn Nets will face the Philadelphia 76ers, and NBA legend Charles Barkley expressed his concern for Ben Simmons ahead of his return to Philadelphia.
Talking about it, Barkley said, “I do not feel good about that situation, next Tuesday. He’s playing bad… I hope nothing bad happens. Like a fan doing something crazy… And like I said, he can’t even rub it in their face playing good. It’s going to be a hostile environment. He’s got to play, but man it’s going to be bad. Philadelphia don’t mess around.”
As Ben Simmons hasn’t played well this season yet, it will be quite tough for him to perform in front of the fans in Philadelphia, who will give him a very tough time. He has averaged 6.1 rebounds, 5.8 points, and 5.6 assists in 10 games this season.
