Ben Simmons returned to Philadelphia and claimed the boos from fans didn’t surprise him and his mindset is quite clear.
Ben Simmons and the Brooklyn Nets faced the Philadelphia 76ers and it was the first game back in Philadelphia for Simmons, who was traded to the Nets last season. Everyone knew that the fans in Philadelphia were going to give Ben Simmons a tough time on his return but the Nets player handled it well.
He claimed that he wasn’t surprised by the reception and expected a bit more from the 76ers fans. Ben Simmons also stated that he is in a good mental state and that things like these won’t impact him going forward.
After the loss to the 76ers, Ben Simmons said, “I feel like I’m in a good place, I’m happy, I’m doing what I love. So to be out there and have that experience was amazing. Obviously it wasn’t the result we wanted. It’s frustrating to lose a game like that, but I think it’s a good step forward.”
Although the Brooklyn Nets lost the game, they will be happy to see the aggressive version of Ben Simmons. If they want to win a championship this season then Simmons needs to play at an all-star level. Ben Simmons has averaged 8.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in 13 games this season.
