Skip Bayless doesn’t believe that Donovan Mitchell will be a good fit on the currently constructed Brooklyn Nets.
With Kevin Durant agreeing to stay on the Brooklyn Nets, there is only one big name left in the market who is up for trade discussions. Its the star guard of the Utah Jazz, Donovan Mitchell.
After Rudy Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, it was evident that Mitchell will be up next. The name of Brooklyn Nets have also emerged among the suitors to acquire Donovan Mitchell.
Currently, the New York Knicks are favored to get Donovan Mitchell, but other teams like the Nets are also interested to get Mitchell. However, Skip Bayless believes that the Nets should not go for Mitchell, as they have a great roster, and every piece fits well.
Talking about it, Skip Bayless said, “Would the Brooklyn Nets Really Want Donovan Over Ben Simmons? Because I Would Say a Big No to That Because to Me Ben Simmons Is a Way Better Fit in Brooklyn Than Donovan Ever Would Be and Again Yeah That’s a Close Call the Irony of This Conversation Is You and I Argued for Like a Month Over Who Should Be Rookie of the Year.”
Skip Bayless firmly believes that the Nets roster is perfect. He thinks that Ben Simmons is the ultimate fit for the Nets, and trading for Mitchell would ruin their team.
He said, “I Don’t Think That Donovan Mitchell Is More Valuable Than Ben Simmons Because He Has Shown Me He’s Proven He Can Make All-Star Teams He Can Make First-Team All Defense and Obviously After Rookie of the Year He Has Shown Capability on Any Given Night That He Can Go Get You 40 if You Ask Him to Get 40.“
