Dennis Schroder returned to the Los Angeles Lakers as he signed a one-year deal with the franchise and he is excited to be back.
In their preparation for the upcoming challenging season, the Los Angeles Lakers made yet another intriguing move in the free agency market as they agreed to terms with their former point guard Dennis Schroder that will keep him with the team for one year and pay him $2.64 million.
After the Lakers won the title, the German point guard Dennis Schroder joined the team for one season. However, when free agency rolled around, Schroder decided to leave the Lakers. Now that he is back with the Lakers, the team has a greater need for players who are able to defend in addition to contributing offensively.
The move that the Lakers have made gives them even more depth at the guard positions. The addition of Dennis Schroder brings their roster total to seven players: Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley, Austin Reaves, Kendrick Nunn, and Lonnie Walker IV.
Schroder is quite excited to be back playing with the Lakers. Talking about it, he said, “I’m going to make sure everything I can do, I’ll bring to the team to win ballgames. I mean, Coach Darvin knows. He’s known me for 10 years now. He knows what I bring. And whatever it is, I’m going to do whatever to get a W and to finish the unfinished business.”
