Lamar Jackson will be going into the upcoming season with many points to prove, including this take by Stephen A Smith.
The Baltimore Ravens have a healthy team going into the next season. Last time, this wasn’t the case because so many of their players were hurt.
Since their players are healthy this time, people have high hopes for them. Lamar Jackson will also be back in good shape, and he has a lot to prove.
His contract hasn’t been extended yet, and that’s something that needs to be taken care of. If the Ravens don’t get Lamar to sign the deal before the season starts, their camp could be a mess. But it seems likely that Lamar Jackson will get a big contract before the season starts. Because of this, he wants to do well and prove that he is worth his price.
However, Stephen A Smith still has some doubts about the throwing ability of Lamar Jackson’s. He knows that Jackson is a prolific quarterback but he has to improve his passing game as well.
Stephen A Smith said, “I’m Not Going to Go as Far to Say There Are Six Quarterbacks Better Than Lamar Jackson. I Will Tell You I’m More Confident Six Quarterbacks Throwing the Football Better Than Him.”
He added, “We Know in Today’s Game, Particularly When You Are a Dual Threat, There’s Value to That. We Know He’s Not the Passer That Russell Wilson Is and Joe Burrow.”
Even though Stephen A Smith has doubts about the throwing ability of Lamar Jackson, he knows how great of a player Jackson actually is. He talked about how Lamar Jackson is different from others.
Talking about it SAS said, “The Fact of the Matter Is When You Look at Lamar Running the Football From the Quarterback Position, He’s the Most Electrifying Talent in the History of the Game.”
He added, “Nobody’s Been Able to Run the Football the Way He Does. He Didn’t Get Hurt the Last Four Games. He Had 700 Yards Running With Four Games to Go. He Was Definitely Going to Do It for a Third Straight Year.”
Stephen A Smith further said, “We Know What He Brings to the Table. I Got Questions. You Traded Hollywood Brown. You Got Rid of Him. You Traded Him for Additional First-Round Pick. You Got Bateman. I Got That. Andrews, I Got That. J.K. Dobbins — The A.F.C. Is Too Good This Year to Shove That to the Side. In the A.F.C. West Alone All Four Teams Are Legit Threat to Make the Postseason. All Four Teams.”
Stephen A Smith is certainly right. The competition in the AFC is very tough. Due to it, Lamar would need to elevate his game to a further level. His team didn’t do any major improvement in the offseason, and due to it, pressure will be on Lamar to be successful again.
Normally the AFC North is very competitive every year, but this time around only the Bengals, and the Ravens have a great chance of winning it.
The Steelers are in a mini-rebuild, and the Browns will be without their QB1 Deshaun Watson for more than half of the season. Due to it, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have a great chance of taking the crown of AFC North back from the Cincinnati Bengals in the upcoming season.
