Klay Thompson was delighted with the fact that his splash brother Stephen Curry was finally able to win the Finals MVP Award.
The Golden State Warriors have been crowned the NBA Champions once again. They defeated the Boston Celtics in game 6 at their own homecourt to clinch their 4th championship in eight years.
Stephen Curry finally won the Finals MVP award. The long-awaited award that he was despised for has finally been won. It was the only award that was missing from his glorious resume, and fair to say it was a special moment for him. All his teammates were happy for him.
Klay Thompson spoke to the media about Curry finally getting his hands on the Bill Russell Finals MVP Trophy. He said, “I’m so happy for him to get that Finals MVP,”
Klay added, “Some bozos saying he needed it. He’s pretty much established what he can do. But to see him earn that, he’s one of the greatest ever and we all followed in his lead and gosh, that was awesome.”
Stephen Curry reflects on winning his 4th NBA Championship
Stephen Curry was livid after finally getting his hands on those two trophies. He still prioritized the team’s success and continuously talked about the 4th championship that the Warriors core was able to win.
He said, “We’ve got four championships, God is great. The ability to be on this stage and play with amazing teammates against a great Boston Celtics team that gave us everything to try to get to the finish line.”
Curry added, “These last two months of the playoffs, these last three years, this last 48 hours, every bit of it has been an emotional roller coaster on and off the floor, And you’re carrying all of that on a daily basis to try to realize a dream and a goal like we did tonight.”
The Warriors are going nowhere, and there is a high possibility that we might see them again on the same stage next year. Curry is continuously elevating his name in the all-time greats list, and he will continue to achieve more success in the future.
