Is Lamelo Ball an All-star in 2023?

LaMelo Ball is currently one of the most promising young players in the NBA, but is he featuring in this season’s All-Star game?

An appearance in the NBA All-Star game can boost a young player’s confidence immensely and push them to the next level of exposure. Since the announcement of the names taking part in the upcoming 2023 All-Star game, many questions have been asked of the young prospects in the NBA and if they have been called up for the game – including that of LaMelo Ball.

The young point guard who plays for the Charlotte Hornets was named as a reserve last season, however, it seems that he has been snubbed this season. Ball ranks in the 83rd percentile in dunks and threes (estimated plus-minus) and is averaging 23.7 points, 8.1 assists and 4.1 threes. At a certain point, though, availability should mean something, and a factor that has certainly played against Ball’s selection is that he has played in fewer than half of his team’s games.

While Ball failed to make it into the starters and reserves list in the All-Star game this year, we will have a quick look at the players who did.
