Donovan Mitchell led the Cleveland Cavaliers to another win and this time it was against his former team, the Utah Jazz.
Donovan Mitchell faced his old team, the Utah Jazz, for the very first time as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and he guided his current team to a convincing victory with a score of 122-99.
He only played for 22 minutes but scored 23 points, and he was able to sit out much of the second half because the Cavaliers were up by a large enough margin for him to have that luxury. Mitchell had to go up against the team that had drafted him, which had to be a difficult emotional moment for him, but he still liked competing against them.
After the game, Mitchell said, “It was weird, But it was fun.” Speaking about his time in Cleveland, he added, “I’m comfortable, I’m still trying to figure out the highways. But with this group, I feel like I’ve been a part of them for a while. The city, the fans, the team, everyone has welcomed me with open arms. The fit was pretty seamless.”
The Cleveland Cavaliers are legit title contenders this season. Everyone knows that Donovan Mitchell always elevates his game to the next level in the playoffs, and we can see greatness from him with this talented squad around him.
