Kevin Durant praised young superstar Jayson Tatum as he led the Boston Celtics to a win over the Miami Heat.
Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to a 134-121 win over the Miami Heat. Jayson Tatum scored 49 points and recorded 11 rebounds as well. He shot 15/25 from the field and 8/12 from behind the arc. Tatum is an MVP candidate this season and this performance is going to raise his stock even further.
Kevin Durant was in awe of the Celtics superstar’s performance and tweeted to show his appreciation for him. KD said, “49, 8-12 from Tracy is ridiculous Jayson Tatum. It’s a lot of cookin goin on in this league man”
Following this win over the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics are now 18-4 and have the best record in the entire NBA. Tatum will be challenged by Devin Booker and Luka Doncic in the MVP race but if he continues to play likes this, he can win the MVP award.
If the Celtics manage to remain the team with the best record in the NBA, it will be hard to not see Jayson Tatum winning the MVP award. Kevin Durant himself had a great night as he scored 39 points during the 113-107 of the Brooklyn Nets over the Washington Wizards. The Nets are now 12-11 and are steadily improving.
