Jabari Smith and the Houston Rockets were able to get a big win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the summer league. This was a much-needed win for the Rockets after losing the first game to the Orlando Magic.
The No. 3 overall pick, Jabari Smith, didn’t have the best of games on the attack front but had a great all-around game. He was good when it mattered the most, and he led the team to a win by performing in the clutch.
Jabari is getting better with every match, and soon the Rockets fans will be able to see why he was among the best prospects in this draft. Against OKC, he ended up with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks.
Considering this game was against arguably the best team in the Summer League, the Houston Rockets and Jabari Smith did well to come away with a positive result.
Skip Bayless lauded Jabari Smith after his performance against Chet Holmgreen
Famous FOX Sports Analyst Skip Bayless reacted to the performance of Jabari Smith against Chet Holmgreen. Even though he was high on Chet after his first game, he believed Jabari looked better here.
Skip said, “Watching Jabari Smith vs Chet Holmgren, who will forever be linked after Sam Presti quickly passed on Jabari, stayed locked in on Chet. Jabari only 2-10 but played overall better basketball. Chet just doesn’t play w consistent intensity. Will doesn’t match freakish skills. Drifts”
It will be interesting to see which player among Chet and Jabari will have a better career. Their name will be linked alongside each other for years to come, and it will be a great rivalry.
