James Harden had a great performance against the Boston Celtics during a loss on the opening night of the new NBA season.
On the opening night of the new NBA season, the Boston Celtics defeated the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 127-117. The season had officially begun. Even though the Celtics are without their head coach Ime Udoka for the entirety of the season due to a suspension, the Eastern Conference winners from the previous year were able to withstand the intense competition presented by the Sixers.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown were the standout performers of the game as both players scored 35 points to help their side to a decisive victory and a strong start to the new basketball season. However, another player who showed out was James Harden.
James Harden in the opening game of the new season scored 35 points and turned the clock back to show the world what vintage Harden looked like. He shot 9/14 from the field and scored five three-pointers as well. Even though the 76ers lost this close contest to the Celtics, Harden’s performance was a huge positive.
Skip Bayless was also happy to see Harden balling out in the season opener and said: Biggest takeaway from Sixers-Celts: James Harden looks in shape and engaged.
The 76ers fans will hope that Harden continues to perform like this as this version of James Harden will give them the best opportunity to win the championship this season.
