Joel Embiid wants Kevin Durant in Philadelphia with the 76ers

After Kevin Durant handed in a trade request, 76ers star player Joel Embiid has made it clear about his intentions.

The whole league was shocked after Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant handed in a trade request. Not many saw it coming after Kyrie Irving opted in for the last year of his contract.

Many teams are interested in getting KD on their team, and one of them is the Philadelphia 76ers. Even though Durant has named Miami and the Phoenix Suns as his primary landing spots, a move to Philly could be in the mix.

The 76ers star player, Joel Embiid, has urged the franchise to make a move for KD, as it will make them a clear-cut favorite to win the championship. Embiid, along with Harden and KD, will be a formidable trio.

According to Jason Dumas, “It’s unclear whether Kevin Durant is interested in joining the 76ers, but Joel Embiid has made it clear to management that he wants them to exhaust every option in trying to acquire Durant.”

How can the Philadelphia 76ers bring in Kevin Durant?

The Philadelphia 76ers will be required to give up a lot of assets in order to acquire Kevin Durant. However, they have enough resources to get their man.

As stated in the tweet below, the 76ers are looking to offer Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Matisse Thybulle, and multiple picks to Brooklyn in order to get KD.

This would be a good move for both teams. Ben Simmons who is on the Nets will be able to carry this franchise forward with the players that he has played with over the past few years.
